TESTIMONIALS

Family Physician
Digby is a special place. Historic, beautiful, progressive and friendly. Quiet but busy community in the off-season. Booming busy with visitors in the spring and summer.
Home of one of the largest scallop fishing fleets in the world. Lots of fresh lobster. Very interesting, small, hard-working town. There are lots of opportunities for taking part in community activities. This town has three summer festivals – Lobster Bash, Scallop Days and the uniquely interesting Wharf Rat Rally!
Practising primary care here is challenging but fulfilling. The Digby Primary Care Clinic has created an innovative and patient-based model of care. No one is assigned a specific provider. We are constantly working on enhancing our collaborative processes. We want patients to be able to see the right person at the right time as soon as needed. It is working!!
The community is very appreciative as there has been a “doctor shortage” here for decades. Take it from me: Digby is a fine place to be. I grew up here, graduated from high school, and now am helping my community get and stay healthy!

Digby was an amazing place to learn to practice health care; I cannot speak highly enough about the people of Digby and the hospitality they showed me throughout my rotation.
The team at the Digby General Hospital was supportive and always willing to teach, offering me varied hands-on clinical experience.
Moreover, Nancy, the community navigator, made moving to Digby easy, and I was able to spend my rotation in a spacious apartment with a stunning ocean view.
I also enjoyed exploring the scenic town and its surroundings, visiting the famous scallop fleet, hiking along the cliffs, and sampling the local cuisine.
